EHS Supervisor Takes on New Interprovincial Trauma/Life Support Role

Congratulations to Craig Desjardins, EHS Operations Supervisor for Amherst and District, on his appointment to the role of Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Provincial Coordinator for Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

Craig's new role results from his demonstrated commitment and leadership in the delivery of the PHTLS program over the past several years.

The PHTLS program promotes excellence in trauma patient management by all providers involved in the delivery of prehospital care through global education. PHTLS is developed by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) in co-operation with the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma.
