EMC Continues Provision of Quality Pre-hospital Care to Nova Scotians

Air and ground ambulance services in Nova Scotia will continue to be operated by the same company that successfully created a unified provincial program more than 10 years ago. Emergency Medical Care Inc. has signed a contract with the Government of Nova Scotia to continue its tradition of providing world-class pre-hospital care across the province.

On behalf of the province, Emergency Medical Care Inc. manages Nova Scotia’s Emergency Health Services LifeFlight and ground ambulance system. The system, which includes 143 ground ambulances, one helicopter, access to a fixed-wing aircraft, and support facilities, is widely recognized as one of the best in the world, thanks to the 1,100 exceptional employees that call Nova Scotia home.
