MedicAlert Access to Improve Patient Care

The new MedicAlert Access-En Route in Nova Scotia program provides paramedics with greater advanced access to patient information.

If a patient is registered with MedicAlert, paramedics can now access the MedicAlert system to gain essential patient information while in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.

This program is the first of its kind in the world. It is a joint effort between the Nova Scotia Department of Health, Canada Health Infoway and MedicAlert.
